Minnesota HomeOwnership Center

Project Management | Homeownership Preservation Program Launch

When the Minnesota Homeownership Center had the opportunity to offer a program for homeowners needing financial assistance during COVID, AmplifyDMC stepped in with nimble project management support that brought the project’s vision to life—while also launching quickly enough to get the money out to people in financial crisis.

To get there, we broke this large project down into smaller manageable pieces and made sure the right team members were focused on the right work at the right time. We kept key stakeholders up to date with regular status reports and supported training and documentation of the program along the way. While providing a steady project management presence, we also built capacity and trained in team members who needed to learn project management or process mapping. Along the way, we built relationships with Homeownership Center team members to facilitate the design, development, documentation, and implementation of the program to ensure outcomes were met.

They were: over the course of a year, the program distributed more than $2 million in assistance that helped homeowners across the state cover urgent expenses as they looked to stabilize their housing.

“We’ve always appreciated Amy’s expert project management skills. But during the COVID crisis she really shined. She swiftly and adeptly developed program guidelines and workflows that allowed us to deploy millions of dollars in COVID relief funds to families. Her composed leadership provided reassurances to everyone involved in this crisis management.”
