COMMUNICATIONS AUDIT

With a communications and development team that was stretched thin, ICA wanted to make sure its team was spending time on communications strategically. AmplifyDMC started with a review of existing channels and trends in audience engagement and growth. Their channels included a few newsletters (digital and print), the organization website, social media, and targeted fundraising communications. We looked at their demographic data by channel to assess which segments of their audiences were using each. This allowed us to develop several data-driven recommendations: 

  • Develop a tone and voice style guide to ensure brand consistency across channels

  • Create a segmented communications strategy that aligns messages within each communications channel to the primary audience(s) using it

  • Settle on a thoughtful approach to using content multiple times across channels and ensure messages are supporting ICA’s strategic priorities

  • Build a partnership engagement strategy to extend ICA’s communication reach
