True to its name, MoveFwd partnered with AmplifyDMC to build a progressive development strategy that could elevate its fundraising success and help the organization move forward with a new executive director.
How we collaborated
To that end, Amplify collaborated with the executive director and board of directors to set up a plan for individual giving campaigns. To ensure those campaigns and other development efforts were successful, our team engaged with MoveFwd’s fund development committee and board of directors so that there was buy-in across the organization around fundraising goals and strategies.
All along the way, Amplify worked closely with the new executive director, advising her on development strategies and priorities. Meanwhile, we worked to establish infrastructure and internal operations that supported those priorities—namely through database improvements that made it easy to do “LYBUNT” donor outreach, segmented email appeals, and more.
How we amplified
Ultimately, our strategic support helped MoveFwd align fundraising strategies and priorities across the entire organization, from board to executive leadership to staff. We also established a template for MoveFwd to follow in subsequent years so that they could build on the momentum of the partnership’s first year.
”On the strength of our work with the AmplifyDMC team, MoveFwd had its most successful fundraising year. Their guidance and thought partnership was extremely valuable to me as a new executive director, and to our organization as a whole. Our collaboration with Amplify has put everyone at MoveFwd on the same page around fundraising, and given us a roadmap for future development success.Sarah GrangerExecutive Director
The success of this collaboration also led MoveFwd to contract with Amplify to support its new Project Upstream work. Amplify’s knowledge of MoveFwd’s operations and strong project management experience made this a natural fit, and we have gone on to provide project management and communications support for Upstream’s homelessness prevention effort.
