We are looking for a multi-talented professional with a passion for nonprofits to join AmplifyDMC’s close-knit team. This position is a great fit for mid-career applicants who have an interest in mission-driven organizations and social causes.

As a project manager consultant, you’ll work alongside our team of six (including other project managers) to support Amplify’s roster of nonprofit clients and “amplify” the incredible work they do across our Twin Cities community. Your work will play a key role in our “advise and do” approach as we collaborate with nonprofits to strengthen their fundraising, storytelling, organizational development, and more.

Since our founding, AmplifyDMC has operated a hybrid office environment to encourage a productive and healthy work-life balance. As we enter a new stage of the COVID-19 era, “the Ampsters” are navigating a return to the office as we rebuild our creative, collaborative, and laughter-filled in-person culture. A willingness to work in the office 2-3 days a week will be an expectation. 

This full-time position has a salary range of $65,000-$75,000 with health and dental benefits, and a generous “open PTO” policy. Independent contractors will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

AmplifyDMC, based in St. Paul, MN, provides integrated management, communications, and fund development services with a focus on non-profits and socially motivated businesses. AmplifyDMC offers a varied set of skills on its staff including strategic planning and development, project management, graphic design, communications, and public relations.  

At AmplifyDMC, we believe that our approach to assisting organizations execute successful fundraising, marketing and communication campaigns is unique. We are realistic—we know that giving counsel is the easier work; doing, however, is a bit more complicated. We bring capacity to projects in addition to ideas: we help our clients build the plan and implement it. 

We are looking for multi-talented and committed professionals to join our motivated close-knit team. The position includes a diverse range of responsibilities and requires a high degree of commitment, professionalism, and confidentiality.   

Position: Project Manager

Purpose: Work as a project manager and individual contributor on AmplifyDMC client engagements, lead project initiatives and act as subject matter expert in nonprofit development and one or more of the expertise areas listed below. 

  • Manage client engagements to achieve client development and communications goals, consistent with contract specifications 
  • Provide strategic counsel and project management for client engagements related to fundraising and communications and work with other team members to leverage their expertise for client benefit 
  • Build and cultivate relationships with client to become trusted advisor and resource 
  • Provide knowledgeable input on potential strategies for clients related to areas of expertise listed below 
  • Anticipate and communicate potential project roadblocks and barriers to client and internal team 
  • Write, edit and proof content for client fundraising, marketing and communications materials 
  • Contribute to the development of AmplifyDMC standard processes and tools 
  • Work with team members to create processes to identify, track, and maintain action steps after client meetings and conversations   
  • Support research efforts and assist with special projects based on current client need and/or AmplifyDMC priorities
     

Other 

  • Serve as a willing ambassador to AmplifyDMC by promoting the company and services to your personal and professional networks. 
  • Participate and engage in AmplifyDMC staff meetings; track and assign related action items resulting from meeting discussions. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively plan and lead the correct processes to reach conclusions/consensus in a facilitated meeting and positively engage clients and peers. 
  • Knowledge of the various levels of listening, ability to choose the right level depending on the situation. Ability to objectively restate the opinions of others 
  • Ability to select and use appropriate tools for the job and perform technical research as required to supplement and support AmplifyDMC’s way of delivering solutions to clients. 
  • Ability to identify key issues, analyze data, and make recommendations to address problems.  
  • Outstanding integrity and the ability to always seek to do the right thing for the client and AmplifyDMC
