SUCCESS STORY: MoveFWD
When Sarah Granger stepped in to lead MoveFwd as the teen support center’s new executive director, she brought a wealth of experience as a former program director for the organization and as a 20-year veteran in the field of social work. The enthusiastic board identified Sarah as the right person for the role and identified ways they could help Sarah step in for the organization’s founder who had developed a rich history and relationships during her tenure.
Together with AmplifyDMC, Sarah and MoveFwd board members identified the parts of the organization’s fundraising work that were going well (such as grant-writing) and made a plan to address the organization’s fiscal needs. AmplifyDMC led the development of an annual fund development plan, engaged the board in a series of fundraising-focused trainings and provided Sarah with ongoing coaching, strategic guidance, and support. Additionally, AmplifyDMC helped devlop organizational procedures in place to get the most value from MoveFwd’s donor base.

SUCCESS STORY: Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid
MMLA is the largest non-profit law firm in Minnesota. They wanted to increase giving to support needed services, particularly MMLA wanted to grow its individual donor base beyond the legal community. AmplifyDMC assessed Legal Aid’s value proposition and developed a case for support. AmplifyDMC crafted targeted appeal letters, increased social media activity, and engaged the Board and staff in identifying prospective donors. By implementing these new strategies, Legal Aid is off to a successful start in its five-year Community Support Campaign. AmplifyDMC continues to work with MMLA on the campaign and new development strategies.
SUCCESS STORY: Ready, Set, Smile
AmplifyDMC joined Ready, Set, Smile (RSS) in its infancy when it was operating its highly effective preventive dental care program in one school in South Minneapolis. Eager to grow and increase impact, RSS needed assistance to seek support from foundations. AmplifyDMC identified a list of funding prospects, coached RSS leadership on cultivation strategies, and crafted compelling grants proposals that resulted in significant financial support. As a result, RSS was able to increase its services to four additional schools and four early childhood programs in Minneapolis, providing so many more children with access to preventive dental care and education.
